It’s catching, beware
Shuswap river geese

I could feel it creeping up on me, it felt like cold surf lapping at sandy warm toes in the ocean, slowly encroaching on my conscious.
Numbing.
Ignore it, I told myself, it will go away.
Walk, take the camera, think, plan, write things down, remember, delve the events of a everyday life.
Think hard, ignore it, you can do this, you’ve had this happen before.
You made it through the last time. You. Can. Do. This.

But it’s not helping when there are so many blogs out there telling us that they are going through it too.
Blog-itis, no fresh post ideasitis. It’s contagious, beware should it creep up on you.
It always seems to come fresh on the heels of posts that feel like they flowed out of my fingertips onto the keyboard, you know those kind of posts.
But oh, the pressure… [I’m joking here people… I think].

I suppose if I wrote my posts in the scheduled week ahead format, there would be less stress, less planning, um… nope.
I write by the seat of my pants, the tip of my conscious, by the second, sometimes I even daringly sit down at the computer and have no idea at all of what I want to write about. Some might call it rambling… but it’s what I do.

I let the images speak to me. Tell me a story I will say to the photos in my archives, and they do.
Speak to me, I tell what I see in the viewfinder of my camera… be eloquent, and it is, even though I might not be. The creeping numbness has started to go away, could it be that I’ve shaken it off this time? Is that possible. I certainly hope so.
Blog-itis, AHhhhhh choooo it’s catching, beware.
