My Way of Living + Things

We interupt this peaceful morning…

It was quiet, at least for a moment. And then, GADDDDAKK, GADDDDAKK! GADDDDAKK!. CAW CAW CAW. Seems as if even crows have a" slacker generation problem." Mom and Dad Crow have taught/encouraged their babies to fly. And they have learnt well. Maybe a little too well. The babies have figured out that its a lot easier to sit in the nest, and play their version of XBOX, than go out and look for food themselves. So every time Mom and Dad come back to the nest, we hear GADDDDAKK, GADDDDAKK! I am assuming that's crow talk for" there's nothing to eat in the fridge." There was a lot of cawing for awhile, and then we saw the babies out of the nest again. And all was quiet. So maybe the"slacker generation" doesn't get to last very long for crows.
