Chalkboards are very popular right now, the lettering ranging from stunningly simple, to wonderfully artistic. What are you supposed to do if you are not able to duplicate the tight spacing and even lines that it takes to make this craft shine? Print out your lettering, rub a piece of chalk over the back of the paper, and transfer it to the chalk board by tracing each letter with a pen. Fill in the outlines with chalk for a tight hand lettered look. Easy-Peasy!

She printed out her quote, rubbed the back with a piece of chalk, and transferred it to the chalk board, by tracing over the entire letter with a pencil, and filling in the chalk transfer on her board. Easy-Peasy!
Mine was made in a hurry, I needed to catch the daylight with my camera, so don’t laugh at my birds, this board gets changed out every week, it was rushed. I took a old frame that was hanging around and gave it a quick dab of cream chalk paint, and cut a piece of board to fit inside.
Here’s another tip for you, found on Pinterest, use black mat paper instead of a chalkboard, it’s easy-peasy to work with, inexpensive, and looks like a chalk board. Use a pencil sharpener to sharpen your chalk, I also used a artist pencil filled with chalk pastel to give me nice clean lines.
Find a old frame, get some mat black paper, and create your own work of art.
