Who let the dogs out?

The farm dogs

came and spent a few nights with us at our house along with our cat Bootsie and all was calm at least until the fireworks went off at midnight. Guess the dogs don’t hear them up at the farm, because Charlie the dog decided they bothered her enough to break out of her “area” and she spent the rest of the night at the bottom of the stairs. Which didn’t go over too well with Bootsie, who sleeps upstairs on our bed, it kind of put a cramp in his 4 am morning warbles to try and wake us up. He would leave the bed, walk to the top of the stairs, and return… and go back to sleep, all without a single meow… we are pretty sure he didn’t want to call attention to himself since the dogs had escaped the “area” that was supposed to be their space.

And I am sure I heard the Boo singing “whooooo let the dooooggggs out?”

If you normally have 150 acres to play in, a much smaller backyard like ours can feel rather constricting, so we did a few dog runs up to the farm to give the dogs some much needed exercise. Blue is the one who is airborne above a few shots, those dogs run like the wind, always chasing away coyotes, and sniffing the scent the deer leave behind. Charlie is in the bushes, and you can only see a glimpse of her through them.

Bootsie is rather glad that life is back to normal for him, and although he was getting used to sharing his space with a couple of smelly dogs, he does prefer them to be behind a fence, and not in his personal cat space.
